Nollywood actress Toyin Afolayan, better known as Lola Idije, has corrected a misconception about her junior colleague, Sotayo Gaga. In an interview with African A-List, she noted how many misconstrue Sotayo, thinking she is wicked, strict and proud.
Lola asserted that Sotayo is a good and blessed child who loves to be alone, which is why people think she is proud. She noted that Sotayo is similar to her because she loves being alone and is only playful when she is acting.
“Sotayo is a good child, a blessed child. If people don’t go close to her, they will say she is strict. Sotayo loves being alone; it isn’t pride, just like me. Like me, I only joke when I am acting; I don’t know how to do it otherwise”.
Sotayo is known for her good heart.
Similarly, Ronke Oshodi, had spoken highly of Sotayo, revealing that though they hadn’t spoken in a long time, Sotayo came through for her when she was sick.
A few months back, Alesh Sanni recalled how Sotayo came through for him when he lost everything in a terrible accident that almost claimed his life. He said Sotayo reached out to him, asked what he needed, and gave it to him despite the exorbitant price. She also flew him on his first flight to Dubai and did more.
