Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, professionally known as VeryDarkMan, has mocked Afrobeats star Davido following a viral video showing the singer vibing to Zlatan Ibile’s verse referencing the activist in the song ‘Inferno’.
VeryDarkMan reacted after Davido was spotted singing along enthusiastically to the controversial lyrics during a welcome party organised by Zlatan and his wife, Davita, ahead of their white wedding in Marrakesh, Morocco.
The song, ‘Inferno’, features Zlatan, Peruzzi and Shoday, with one of Zlatan’s verses containing the line, “I no be Vincent, I no dey masturbate,” which references VeryDarkMan’s real name, Martins Vincent Otse, and his public comments about masturbation.
Following the circulation of the video, VeryDarkMan took to social media to respond to Davido’s reaction, making a sarcastic remark about the singer and his alleged relationship issues.
In a video shared on his social media page, the activist posted a clip showing Davido appearing to cry and kneel before mimicking the gesture himself.
VeryDarkMan then declared that he would rather masturbate than beg a woman for sex.
He said, “I no be David Adeleke wey dey beg woman. I will rather masturbate than make I kneel down dey beg woman.”
The activist also defended his previous comments about masturbation, stating that he had openly discussed the subject and never attempted to hide it from the public.
“I told you people I masturbate, I create awareness on masturbation, it’s not a new thing. What did you discover? Everything you know about me, I told you,” he said.
Turning his attention to Zlatan, VeryDarkMan appeared to threaten a response to the rapper over the lyrics, suggesting that he was not pleased with the reference.
“Zlatan, I dey come now. You will learn the hard way,” he added.
