Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has got many people talking online after a video showed him energetically singing along to Zlatan Ibile’s verse taking a swipe at social media critic VeryDarkMan during a welcome party in Morocco.
The incident happened at a welcome party organised by Zlatan Ibile and his wife, Davita, ahead of their white wedding scheduled to take place in Marrakesh, Morocco, this weekend.
The couple, who recently celebrated their traditional wedding, brought together family members, friends and celebrities for the celebration.
Among the notable personalities spotted at the event were Davido, skitmaker Carter Efe, Tunde Perry, Pretty Mike and music executive Soso Soberekon, among others.
One of the highlights of the welcome party was Zlatan’s dramatic entrance on an ornate platform, while guests also participated in playful dice games. Tunde Perry reportedly won hundreds of dollars from Davido during one of the games.
Skitmaker Carter Efe also entertained guests as he hyped the crowd during the poolside celebration, which blended Nigerian party culture with Moroccan luxury.
However, a particular moment involving Davido and Zlatan has attracted attention online.
In a video circulating on social media, the DJ played Zlatan’s recently released song, ‘Inferno’, featuring Peruzzi and Shoday, while guests danced and sang along.
The atmosphere became more energetic when the song reached the part where Zlatan appeared to take a swipe at Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse.
In the lyrics, Zlatan sang, “I no be Vincent, I no dey masturbate.”
Davido, who was standing close to Zlatan and other guests, enthusiastically sang along to the controversial line, repeating the lyrics before moving away from the spot where they had been dancing.
His energetic reaction to the verse has generated significant impressions online, with social media users discussing the moment and its possible connection to his ongoing disagreement with VeryDarkMan.
Recall that Davido and VeryDarkMan are currently not on good terms, as both personalities recently unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The development has further drawn attention to Zlatan’s lyrics, particularly because of the ongoing tension between the singer and the social media critic.

mimi_doo_always commented; “One thing you cannot take away from VDM is his foresight. He has a way of seeing through people and situations long before things begin to unfold. Sometimes, what he says may seem like mere assumptions or exaggerations at the time, but eventually, events start playing out exactly as he had anticipated. He sees the signs before others even notice them.”
