Nollywood actress Sotayo Gaga has revealed that Isbae U’s late father, Kamal Adebayo, popularly known as Sir K, once asked her to help connect the comedian with rapper Olamide to kick-start a music career.
The actress made the revelation while appearing as a guest on Isbae U’s podcast, Curiosity Made Me Ask, where the comedian subjected her to a series of sarcastic questions.
During the interview, Isbae U described Sotayo Gaga as a gold digger, questioning her claims of being an actress while alleging that she had attended parties more frequently than she had appeared in movies in recent years.
The comedian also referred to her marriage to a wealthy man and her recent habit of spending $100 bills at parties to support his argument.
However, Sotayo Gaga appeared unfazed by the remarks and responded with humour as the conversation took a different turn.
The actress disclosed that she had a close relationship with Isbae U’s late father, Sir K, who was familiar with her friendship with Olamide.
According to her, Sir K had approached her while he was alive and asked her to help connect his son with the rapper, who is the founder of YBNL Nation, to give him an opportunity to pursue a music career.
Isbae U, however, questioned her explanation, arguing that if she genuinely had a close relationship with Olamide, she could have helped him when his father made the request.
Sotayo Gaga explained that rather than facilitate the connection immediately, she advised the comedian’s father to allow his son to complete his education first.
The comedian further noted that he had now completed his education and challenged the actress to fulfil the request by connecting him with the rapper.
In response, Sotayo Gaga asked Isbae U to demonstrate his musical talent, prompting a moment during the interview that did not appear to impress the actress.
The exchange has brought attention to the comedian’s earlier ambitions and the revelation about his late father’s efforts to help him establish a career in the entertainment industry.
