Prophet who vowed to resurrect late gospel singer Toluwanisings reportedly arrested as wife cries out (Watch)

A TikTok prophet, Woli Arugbo Ojo, who sparked controversy after claiming that late gospel singer Toluwanisings would resurrect, has reportedly been arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The prophet was allegedly taken into police custody on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, by officers from the Ibadan Area Command following a formal complaint reportedly lodged by the late singer’s personal assistant.

The complaint allegedly followed the prophet’s public statements predicting Toluwanisings’ resurrection and making allegations against the personal assistant in connection with the singer’s death.

According to reports, the police asked the prophet to provide evidence to support his allegations.

Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, died on October 14, 2026, after reportedly collapsing at his home in Ibadan.

Following his death, the singer’s personal assistant alleged that several hospitals had refused to provide him with emergency treatment when he was taken there.

The circumstances surrounding the gospel singer’s death have also sparked disagreements within his family over his burial arrangements.

Meanwhile, prominent gospel figures and entertainers, including Tope Alabi, comedian Woli Agba and Dele Omo Woli, have reportedly issued legal threats against an individual identified on Facebook as Pastor Tayo Ministries over unverified claims linking them to the singer’s death.

Amid the controversy surrounding her husband’s reported arrest, Woli Arugbo Ojo’s wife took to social media to appeal for help.

In a video shared on her husband’s TikTok page on October 28, 2026, she claimed that her husband had been taken away following the intervention of Toluwanisings’ personal assistant.

She expressed concern that she could not establish her husband’s whereabouts and appealed to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to intervene.

The prophet’s wife also defended her husband’s statements, insisting that he acted on divine instructions when he declared that the late singer would return to life.

As of the time of filing this report, the police had not publicly confirmed the reported arrest or issued an official statement on the allegations.
