An Osun State politician has offered to provide accommodation for the father of late gospel singer Toluwanisings and scholarships for the singer’s two children.
The politician, identified as Ibraheem Adekunle, the APM senatorial candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, made the offer to support the family following the singer’s death.
Toluwanisings, whose real name was Sadiq Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State, after reportedly collapsing suddenly.
His personal assistant, Babadunni Olayemi, disclosed that efforts were made to get him medical attention at between seven and eight hospitals, while some accounts from his team put the number at as many as 10 facilities.
However, he was reportedly unable to receive immediate treatment at some of the hospitals because doctors were on strike or unavailable.
The singer’s death sparked concerns about access to emergency medical care and the circumstances surrounding the efforts to save his life.
His father, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, later clarified his son’s age, stating that he was born in July 1992 and was 34 years old when he died.
Adekunle’s offer of accommodation for the bereaved father and scholarships for Toluwanisings’ daughters is aimed at providing support for the family as they cope with the loss.
