Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has congratulated his former signee Peruzzi, rapper Zlatan Ibile and singer Shoday following the success of their new song, Inferno, amid a social media exchange involving activist VeryDarkMan.

Peruzzi released the song featuring Zlatan Ibile and Shoday on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The track has attracted attention online, particularly after listeners noticed a line in Zlatan’s verse that appeared to reference VeryDarkMan.

In the verse, Zlatan raps, “I no be Vincent, I no fit masturbate,” seemingly taking a jab at the activist, whose full name is Martins Vincent Otse, and a past controversy involving him.

The line sparked reactions on social media, with fans discussing the apparent exchange between the rapper and the outspoken critic.

Reacting to the song, VeryDarkMan took a swipe at Zlatan, mocking the rapper over the reception of his album and wedding while questioning the attention both events received.

“Person wey do a whole wedding because he won promote him album, album no blow, wedding no blow,” he wrote.

“All the blogs that posted the wedding, no one entered 5k comments. All the PR, Vincent everywhere. If that song no stay No. 1 for one month, e go pain me,” he added.

However, Inferno subsequently climbed to the number one spot on the Nigerian Apple Music chart within 24 hours of its release, drawing further attention to the track.

Davido, who has also had a public disagreement with VeryDarkMan, reacted to the song’s success by congratulating the three artistes.

Taking to social media, the singer wrote, “God pass man ❤️… congrats @Peruzzi @Zlatan_Ibile @official_shoday.”
