‘She removed 3 pregnancies, refuses intimacy for 6 months, and asks ChatGPT how to accuse me of rape in the UK’; Husband of viral muslim woman speaks

The ex-husband of Alimat Abiola, the Nigerian woman whose story about her marriage breakdown in the UK has gone viral, has reportedly responded to her allegations, offering a different account of what led to their separation.

Alimat had shared a series of videos explaining how her marriage allegedly collapsed after her husband returned to the UK without her and their children, removed them from his visa arrangements and sent her a divorce letter through WhatsApp.

However, in an account shared through third parties identified as A. Bello and Mallam Abdoullah, her ex-husband reportedly disputed several of her claims and presented his own version of events.

His side of the rent and family expenses

The man reportedly denied Alimat’s claim that she contributed to their rent and household expenses, saying they initially lived rent-free in a house belonging to his brother for 13 months before moving into their own accommodation.

He claimed the household direct debits came from his accounts and that he paid the rent himself. He also denied that Alimat was responsible for paying his school fees.

Disagreement over work and childcare

The ex-husband reportedly alleged that Alimat accepted a 44-hour work contract without his agreement and sometimes went to work without making adequate arrangements for their children.

He claimed they disagreed over a proposed schedule that would allow each of them to work four days a week while ensuring one parent was available to care for the children.

He further alleged that neighbours threatened to report them to the police over concerns that the children were being left home alone.

The man also claimed the children experienced abuse at a place where Alimat had taken them, alleging that he blamed her for what he described as negligence. These claims have not been independently verified.

Allegations about their relationship

In another claim, the ex-husband allegedly accused Alimat of terminating three pregnancies against his wishes. The allegation has not been independently substantiated.

He reportedly said he eventually contacted the police because they could not resolve their disagreements.

He also denied travelling with Alimat’s passport and those of their children.

In a separate allegation, he claimed to have found a diary entry in which Alimat allegedly wrote about asking ChatGPT how to make a rape allegation against him to improve her immigration prospects. No independent evidence has been provided to establish the claim.

The third-party account also included allegations about intimacy and domestic responsibilities, with the man reportedly claiming that Alimat refused to cook and that they went six months without intimacy as she locks her “Strait of Hormuz”.

What Alimat said happened

In her earlier videos, which circulated widely online and reportedly led to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Alimat said she moved to the UK with her husband and their children in 2022. Her husband travelled on a student visa, while she and the children were listed as dependants.

She claimed she worked, contributed to household expenses, supported the children and helped pay her husband’s school fees and purchase his first car.

According to Alimat, their relationship later deteriorated over disagreements about work, house chores and childcare.

She said the family travelled to Nigeria in September 2025 to arrange boarding school for their daughter. After visiting the proposed school in Ibadan, she travelled with the children to see her parents in Osun State.

Alimat alleged that when they returned to Ibadan, her husband was missing. She later contacted his workplace and learnt that he had returned to the UK without them.

She said he subsequently sent her a divorce letter through WhatsApp, claiming their marriage had ended by mutual agreement. Alimat maintained that she had neither agreed to the divorce nor signed any documents.

She further alleged that her husband removed her and the children from his visa arrangements before blocking her. She also said she wanted him to send their passports.

The two accounts have sparked further debate online, with social media users weighing in on the couple’s conflicting claims.

However, the allegations made by both sides have not been independently verified, and the circumstances surrounding their separation and immigration arrangements remain unclear
