Six years after declaring that she would never get married, 39-year-old Ghanaian singer Efya has tied the knot with 33-year-old Nigerian singer and songwriter Tómi Thomas.
The couple exchanged traditional marriage vows in a ceremony held in Accra, Ghana, on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The event was attended by family members, friends and several notable personalities from Ghana’s entertainment industry, including the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Sister Derby, Fella Makafui, Hajia4Reall, Efia Odo and Kafui Danku.
Efya looked stunning in a traditional kente outfit, while her husband, Tómi Thomas, also appeared in traditional attire as they celebrated their union with loved ones.
Their relationship took a step towards marriage in February 2026 when both families held a knocking ceremony on February 14.
However, their management later clarified that the gathering was only an introductory family ceremony and did not mark the completion of the couple’s traditional marriage rites.
